There is a lot happening in the world right now

And that may be stirring up some powerful emotions within you. As an empathic, you may be feeling lost in the swirl of those emotions.

Don’t Get Lost in Emotions

When we get lost in those emotions we can lose sight of ourselves causing us to feel misaligned or out of balance. That may lead to a sense of disempowerment and fear, which may trigger us to shrink, to withdraw or perhaps lash out at things that would not normally bother us.

Emotions are just Energies

Remember that emotions are just energies within our body that help us navigate the world around us. The intentions of emotions are to help us survive. The world has become quite small. We are connected to events happening all over the world. That shrinking of the world has us seeing each event as having the potential of an immediate threat to our wellbeing and we can become immobilized by what we are hearing and seeing. Fear sets in.

The World Does Not Need More fear

The world does not need more fear, it needs each of us to be centred in who we are and to take action from a place of groundedness and balance.

You Are Not the Swirl of Emotions

The swirl of emotions is just a barometer to help us understand the world around us. We are not that swirl of emotions. The easiest way to overcome the fear and anxiety stirred up by world events is to be our amazing selves, our true nature.

  • Ground Into Who You Are
  • Remove any distractions from around you.
  • Get still.
  • Look back over your life and find a time(s) when you have felt most alive, most energized, most like the amazing self that you are.
  • Where were you? What were you doing? Who were you with?
  • Really feel into that moment. What does it feel like?

That is the feeling of you being you.

  • Amplify the feelings of that moment within you right now in this moment.
  • In two or three words how would you describe yourself in that moment?

What the World Needs Right Now is You

It is you as your most alive, most energized and most amazing self that the world needs right now. It is from that place of aliveness your best decisions are made for you, for your work, for your community and for the world.

I invite you to spend a moment every morning to evoke that sense of who you are and start your day from a place of being your amazing self and see what opens up for you. I would love to hear about what you discover.

Remember you are amazing. You are capable. You are unique and you are worth celebrating. So spend some time each morning with your amazing self.
