Alison Braithwaite
Mentor, Author, SpeakerWelcome
So glad you are here. I believe what we long for is to belong, to create not from our minds but from our souls so we can make a positive difference in the world, in our lives.
My work is about deep listening, creating a safe container for you to explore your passions, create your next steps and clear what holds you back so that you can be who you long to be. Sometimes you just need someone to
Within you is a depth of wisdom that whispers quietly, a wisdom that the stress and pressure of our doing world can drown out.
About the Book
I wrote In Her Own Words so that other women did not have to go through what I went through. I was burned out and looking for a way out. To overcome the feelings of misalignment, anger and frustration I turned to the stories of twenty extraordinary women who have created their own paths. I was interested in learning how they dreamed the world and what sometimes got in their way. I wanted to get unstuck so I could help others create their own extraordinary lives.
About Alison
My dream is for a more compassionate world where everyone feels a sense of belonging and support. That sense of belonging starts with a strong sense of self. I help people journey back to themselves so they are solidly rooted and can act clearly from a place of fully being themselves. I have a Master of Arts in Leadership, a graduate certificate in executive coaching and have trained as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist which provides me a unique perspective to help you unearth yourself.
What nurtures you?
Nature brings me back to myself. A walk in the woods, sitting quietly by water, listening to the sounds of nature stills my mind and opens me up to possibility. Listening deeply creates right action, sparks creativity and makes me feel what it means to be me.
What takes you back to yourself?
What nurtures your soul?
Who are you?
I am mountains and mudpies, eagles soaring and rivers flowing. I am salmon spawning and rain falling. I am cedars and pine needles. I am starfish and intertidal pools, sisters, hair pulling and giggles. I am the smell of the canvas tent, the sound of the ocean wave, the feel of sand between my toes. I am streams, tadpoles and killer whales.
Who are you?
Better yet, who can you be?
